Salto Space

Salto Space

Salto software – the Salto Space access control technology platform is designed to give you freedom of choice regarding system layout, type and number of access points as well as level of security.

Salto Space Software

Salto software has been developed to allow users to make the most of an installation’s access control. System operators can easily manage large numbers of doors and users with outstanding flexibility thanks to all the options in zones, access levels, calendars, time periods and time zones, and more. Salto Space includes a host of advanced features. Usability and flexibility have been taken to a new level. Importantly, SPACE follows SALTO’s scalable philosophy such that even current SALTO customers with ProAccess or HAMS software can upgrade easily to SPACE in order to take advantage of SPACE’s additional features and usability.

SALTO Space can communicate with other enterprise security systems such as alarms, CCTV and access control through SALTO SHIP and SALLIS.
• Maintain a one card solution by using existing smart cards
• Single interface platform/software
• Expand your existing systems with SALTO wireless locks
• Reduce your access control install cost
Available integration types include Intercom, CCTV, Building Management Systems, Property Management Systems, and Booking systems.

  • SALTO VIRTUAL NETWORK (SVN)

    OFFLINE DATA-ON-CARD SYSTEM
The backbone of SALTO Space is the SALTO Virtual Network (SVN) data-on-card technology. SVN uses patented Data-on-Card technology to create a ‘virtual network’ where the users credential (eg. key card, fob or mobile phone) becomes a data carrier as users move through the building. Online access points are still required across key traffic-ways (such as the main entry), which download the full access list to every user’s card in real-time. When a user accesses an offline door, the door queries whether the user can open that door, and at the same time, writes that user’s audit and the battery status of that lock to the card. This allows an organisation to manage costs by fitting the majority of doors with stand-alone locks for situations where ‘almost real time’ will meet their needs.

  • SALTO BLUENET

    ONLINE REAL-TIME SYSTEM
For facilities that need ‘real-time’, SALTO can add Bluetooth gateways that update the lock from the SALTO server. This way, the locks update, store and send the latest access information from the user’s credential throughout the building wirelessly and remotely. BLUENet can be used throughout or in select areas (with SVN in the rest).
In the event of a network failure, SALTO Space access control network continues to operate seamlessly via SALTO’s SVN data-on-card core technology. Additionally, any locks with the BLUENET feature-set can become SVN-Flex locks. SVN-Flex turns the lock into a wireless hotspot, enabling the locks to update access instantly in the way a hardwired point would. This way, access updates and validations can be performed at more points across the building. This enables a raft of access control features not previously attainable because of cost and complexity, such as instant credential updates and building-wide lockdowns.
