How has Independent Locksmiths & Security created Excellence in Innovation? Over the past 15 years ILS, a traditional locksmith business, developed an Electronic Security Division to provide integrated security systems to our clients. Electronic Security systems refers to any electronic equipment that perform security operations like surveillance, access control, alarming or an intrusion control to a facility or area.

Ryan McGovern, second generation in the business, has headed this Electronics Division. He has built a team with a passion for solving our client’s security issues, applying advances in security technology. The team are trained in a range of products such as Protégé, Inner Range, Mobotix, Milestone, Salto and Cyberkey.

In 2017 SecVision Networks was launched. Ryan’s product development in the technology field has seen two strong brands emerge:

  • secCloud Managed Security System (Access Control, Intruder Detection, Building Automation)
  • secWatch Virtual Guard Services (High Definition CCTV with Alarm monitoring in our Security Operations Centre in Parramatta)

We are now in a unique position in the marketplace, able to offer our clients a Total Security Solution that combines mechanical locksmithing with electronic security systems and services. The clients we are servicing are in the Education, Local Government, Health, Strata, Industrial and Commercial sectors.

The Hon. Gladys Bwerejiklian MP has acknowledged the WSABE Awards and wrote to all finalists

"These prestigious awards recognise the great contribution you are making to your local community and economy. For three decades, these awards have shone a light on the breadth and depth of skill and commitment in this rapidly growing region. Whether you are a young employee, small business or exporter, or whether you are being recognised for your innovation, leadership or excellence in sustainability, you are making a very real difference".

Winners will be announced at the 2020 WSABE Annual Awards Gala on Friday 20th November.
