  • Wireless which is a cost effective approach and enables you have access control in areas where cables are hard to run.

With a wired access control system you are 'online' with the access control panel. The benefits of a wired access control system include:

There are two types of wireless access control. These include:

  • Active Lock: Power is in the lock, normally using batteries.
  • Passive Lock: Power is in the key using batteries or rechargeable keys.

Wireless access control is a low cost alternative to running cables.
